August 2017 Specials

There's a lot going on in August!!

Today is the launch of our new Annual Inspirations Catalog!

Check it out at sherry.closetomyheart.com

This month only, when you sign up as a Consultant and reach qualifying sales levels, you can choose from a selection of FREE sign-up rewards, including a FREE Cricut® collection, Block Alphabet Thin Cuts Bundle, or $99 in Select Product Credit!

Simply sign up as a Consultant and submit $300 in personal sales before September 30 to earn this additional reward.

During the month of August Close to My Heart is offering an online Warehouse Sale! Starting today, August 1, a selection of retired items and product bundles will be offered each week at an amazing 50% discount! These items will be available for a week—while supplies last of course—and then they will be replaced by a new set of offers the following Tuesday. And to sweeten the deal, for these sale items, we’ll be charging shipping only on the price paid instead of on the retail value—it’s an awesome opportunity for EXTRA savings!

And we haven’t forgotten our hostesses out there, either! For August we are bringing back an exciting special just for hostesses: when a Gathering party reaches the third level of Hostess Rewards or higher, their rewards will “jump up” a level, which means your hostess gets EXTRA Hostess Rewards and maybe even an extra 50%-off item!

Tell the Story…

Welcome!

I love all things paper and ink, always have. I am addicted to craft supplies. I love paper crafting pretty gifts and home d├ęcor. I love hand-making cards. I love photography, scrapbooking, and preserving family history.

As the years pass, I understand more and more the importance of telling the story. Have you ever looked through a box of old pictures and wondered, "When was that taken? Who is that? Where were you then?” Sometimes you have someone there to provide answers, but as the days go by more often than not it is too late. The memories and the stories about loved ones that go with the pictures fade and eventually cease to exist when we do not make the effort to document them. We need to ensure that future generations—our children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews—know the stories that matter. Traditional, digital, pocket, and hybrid scrapbooking are all ways of telling the stories that go with the pictures; it is our way to add color for future generations.

If I am honest, I have to say I have had such a hard time with this. Even though I understand the importance, have a desperate desire to make beautiful scrapbooks, and have enough supplies to last multiple lifetimes; I actually have very little completed. My resolution is that changes starting now. No one is getting any younger and I cannot keep putting it off because I am behind or did not do things the way I wanted in the past. I want my littles to have my memories of their childhood as well as their own. I want them to know their family. My plan is to use this blog as an accountability step and maybe it will help someone else along the way. No matter where you are in your crafting journey, I hope you will join me here.
